Sony Mentorship Program (2021)

The Video Consortium’s inaugural community-wide mentorship program, sponsored by Sony, is a six-month-long initiative built by and for emerging nonfiction filmmakers and visual journalists to develop their projects and professional network.

Taking place from July 2021 through January 2022, this unique program — supporting 16 mentorship pairs — was crafted from the ground up by a small team of VC members, with the intention to create the resources and connections they wish they’d had coming up through the industry. The program included deep industry relationship-building, Sony gear rentals, tailored master classes, and more.
