Jamiya is from Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated from The New School in 2020 with a B.A. in Culture & Media Studies and a minor in Screenwriting. She's currently a graduate student at The School of Media Studies concentrating in Digital Cinema Production. Her work focuses on documentary practices with emerging media. She is currently based in Brooklyn.
