You are cordially invited to the inaugural SF Cinema Block Party, in conjunction with the 2023 SFFILM Festival, as we celebrate the legacy and vibrant media arts ecosystem in the heart of SOMA.

At 4pm, SFFILM will be hosting an open house at their new SOMA location (455 Ninth Street) with refreshments and tasty bites. Then the party continues on at Ninth Street Independent Film Center (145 Ninth Street) with delicious sweets, hosted by VC's Bay Area team. This event opens the door to vital filmmaker support spaces and institutions. 🎬

The Video Consortium will be sharing a table with Brown Girls Doc Mafia where you can learn more about the Pay Transparency Project. Several other local organizations are participating and will be excited to meet you. Partners include: Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC Media), Independent Television Service (ITVS), Documentary Producers Alliance (DPA), Jewish Film Institute, SFFILM, Stanford University MFA in Documentary Film Program, and UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.
