Minneapolis by Eastman Childs

VC Minneapolis

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Minnesota has a long legacy of filmmaking from narrative treasures like the Coen brothers’ “Fargo” and Diablo Cody’s “Juno”, to nonfiction icons like Barbara Kopple’s “American Dream.” VC Minneapolis would be integral to building and amplifying this robust community.

A word from your Organizers!

Rachel: The Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) are bursting with thoughtful, hard-working and creative filmmakers – I could not be more thrilled to be a part of this community and bring our work to the world.

Ariel: As a freelance filmmaker based in Minneapolis, I’ve found such support and solace in the nonfiction filmmaking community here, and am excited to contribute to yet another opportunity to connect this vibrant, dynamic documentary film scene with independent filmmakers and storytellers from across the globe.

Margaret: After finding the VC while living in New York, I've found it has been a valuable resource to connect with fellow filmmakers. I'm excited to officially add Minneapolis to VC's network and be able to connect our talented folks with the talented folks all over the world.

Nathaniel: Coming from Australia, I’ve found Minneapolis to be a gateway to diverse communities and cultures with compelling stories. Naturally, it has produced many talented, passionate, and hardworking filmmakers and storytellers. I'm excited to bring the global VC network to this amazing community and hopefully build a pillar of support for nonfiction filmmakers.
