Mitchell's been editing video professionally for about 15 years, and in that time he's picked up a number of other post-production skills to add to his timelines (including motion graphics, 2-D animation, color grading, sound design, and audio mixing/mastering). Though post is his bread and butter, he's also written, directed, and shot several spots both for clients and friends. Born and raised in the Atlanta area, Mitchell fell in love with music at an early age and still play in bands to this day. The filmmaking bug took hold in college, actually. He even changed majors and schools to study film at Georgia State University after his sophomore year. Mitchell was very fortunate to land a job with his mentor shooting and editing weddings around this time. This is where he cut his teeth in production. From there, he bounced to a one-man band gig for Silverton Mortgage Specialists, filming and editing commercials, social content, and events. After three years there he ventured into the wild world of agency work with Dagger. Starting as just the second member of the video team and 19th hire in the whole agency, Mitchell helped it grow in his six years there and ended his tenure as Lead Editor and Motion Graphics Artist, overseeing a team of four editors and animators. But the time has come for Mitchell to see what he can achieve on his own. So he's taking a crack at this freelance thing and looks forward to working with you and helping to make your videos as great as they can possibly be!
