VC Dallas

Dallas, Texas

Dallas-Fort Worth is a vast and diverse region, and for many nonfiction filmmakers, the distance between us can often feel like a barrier—making it easy to feel isolated in our work and disconnected from fellow creators. The Video Consortium of Dallas (VC Dallas) seeks to bridge this gap. We’re a community-driven space for nonfiction media makers, where filmmakers of all backgrounds can come together, learn from one another, and collaborate to elevate the voice of nonfiction film and video in the DFW metroplex. Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or just starting out, VC Dallas is here to foster connection, build relationships, and amplify the incredible talent within our vibrant city.

A word from your Organizers!

Daniel: I've been a member of the VC for nearly a decade, and during that time, it’s opened doors to incredible opportunities—from connecting with filmmakers in LA and NYC to landing commercial gigs and even a senior role at an aerospace company, all through the VC network. I'm genuinely excited to bring that same energy, passion, and experience from VCLA to Dallas. I know there's an incredible pool of talent here, just waiting to connect and collaborate with others who are doing great work.

Kimani: When I joined VC in Atlanta, I discovered so many new connections and support in the nonfiction filmmaking space. It quickly became a resource to grow and learn from other like-minded creators. I'm excited to help bring Dallas to VC's network and connect with all of the talented people in our community.
