About

I'm a video editor and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Alongside Oscar and Emmy nominated director Laura Checkoway, I've worked on a feature, branded short for 23andMe, and two forthcoming documentaries. Recently, I cut a few profiles for The History Channel highlighting an exemplary teacher in Hawaii and one of the last surviving members of an all-female, all-Black unit that served in WWII. With MT Copeland, I helped people in the trades learn how to frame a house and cut a roof. As a one-person crew during the height of the pandemic, I made a successful campaign video for progressive NY State Senator Jabari Brisport. And thanks to Sesame Street, I now know that "F is for Food." I have managed teams of editors and liaised with clients to deliver large-scale, quick-turnaround projects for companies like Ernst & Young, IBM and Dell. My work has screened internationally at festivals including TIFF and Tribeca. Sometimes, I even make goofy music videos. I received my BFA in Film Production from the University of British Columbia and an MFA from Simon Fraser University. My thesis project, Flat Pyramid, went on to win the top prize at ICDOCS. Additionally, I taught multiple courses on editing and video production at Langara College in Vancouver, BC. Outside of work, you might find me at the dog park.
