John Hubbell is a four-time Emmy Award-wining writer/producer of American documentary film and media. He leads the California Story Company, a collaborative incubator for work with visual journalists, designers and principled clients. A California native, John served previously on the national, political and foreign staffs of The Associated Press, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Asia edition of The New York Times. He holds degrees from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UNC Chapel Hill and is based in Davis, California.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
