About

Schwartz is an accomplished investigative journalist and filmmaker well versed in the craft. He began his career doing public radio stories in the global south and conflicted areas where he documented the movement of indigenous peoples to resist the development of their lands for public radio. As a union film worker, he was often on the set of feature films and commercials, and transitioned into documentary programming for PBS, BBC-Channel 4, Arte 7, and the like. He is very comfortable directing on location or in sound stages, writing and editing verbiage, with investigative reporting in conflict zones and carefully supervising editing, color grading, scoring, and animation.
