Steve Prestemon is a veteran film editor of 100’s of commercials, music videos, branded content, fiction and documentary shorts, TV documentary series and feature documentaries. Steve has received awards for his advertising work from AICP, New York Festivals, the Beldings, Tellys, and Effies; has been nominated for 3 AICE awards, shortlisted at the Cannes Ad Fest; and the feature and short films he has edited, both fiction and documentary, have played at film festivals around the globe. Recent credits include "Arnold", a biographical doc series on Arnold Schwarzenegger directed by Lesley Chilcott; Supervising editor of the Epix/MGM+ series “Helter Skelter” also directed by Chilcott; Supervising editor of two Netflix doc series, "Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians" and "Fastest Car. Additional credits include the feature documentaries "Wild In The Streets", "Meet The Hitlers", "Sneakerheadz", "The Life and Death of Westerly Windina" and "CodeGirl"; and the fiction thriller "The Empty Space In Between" which screened at film festivals in China, Italy and the United States, winning the Jury Prize at the Thriller Chiller Festival in Ann Arbor. After graduating from Iowa State University with his BA in communications, Steve went on to graduate school at Columbia College, Chicago to study documentary directing. Steve then made his way West to Los Angeles. When Steve is not editing, he is an avid world traveler which often involves some of his other interests including snowboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving and creating and drinking cocktails.
