About

Venezuelan-Italian editor, graphic/motion designer, and producer. Flavia's passion for visual storytelling crystallized in 2014 when she co-founded the Spanish-language online publication ViceVersa Magazine, serving as Creative Director. More recently, she co-directed, edited, and designed the cover art of “Neoyorquinos,” a Spotify Original Podcast featuring Latin American artists who are making a positive impact in New York. Parallel to her work in online media, Flavia has had the opportunity to work on several award-winning documentaries. She was an assistant editor on "DreamTown," "The Microlending Project," and "The Business of Birth Control." She directed and edited the short experimental documentary “Just Detention,” which premiered at Let’s All Be Free Film Festival in London. She has also worked in the broadcasting world, as an editor and camera operator for the shows “i-Italy TV” and “Brindiamo!”, aired on NYC TV Life. Currently, Flavia is working on her first animated short documentary about a 12-year-old climate activist from Colombia, which has earned her the fellowship Still I Rise Films and an invitation to Fest of Fests and The Gotham 2022 (formerly IFP). As a graphic designer/illustrator, Flavia participated in the collective exhibition “Nasty Women,” created the cover art for the book “Memorias de la inconformidad” (Sudaquia, NY 2017), and participated in the campaign “Periods for Periods” by Rethink Canada. Her photography work has been selected by AI-AP in New York, and she was a guest curator for Femgrafía. Through her work, Flavia is constantly looking for ways to uplift her community and add to the cultural richness of her city.
