Recently, Brian worked as a cinematographer on The First Wave directed by Matt Heineman, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography, as well as for Best Documentary. The film was shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, and garnered a total of 7 News & Doc Emmy nominations, among other nominations from the IDA, Cinema Eye Honors, PGA and Critic's Choice.
