I am a freelance documentary and commercial editor looking to move into story producing and editing feature and short form documentaries.


Sutton York is a documentary filmmaker who focuses on social justice issues, character portraits, and the places we call home. She graduated cum laude from California State University Long Beach in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Theory and Practice of Cinema and a concentration in creative nonfiction film production. She is currently working as a freelance documentary and commercial editor, assistant editor, camera assistant, and behind the scenes videographer/photographer.
