Paul Moakley is an executive producer of video at The New Yorker, where works on the award-winning short film program. He was previously an editor at large, special projects at TIME. His work stems from a passion for photography and storytelling that takes shape in multi-platform documentary projects. He's earned numerous awards and nominations for his journalism, including an Emmy as a producer and reporter for the interactive project and HBO documentary feature Beyond 9/11:Portraits of Resilience, among others in photography and directing. In 2020 he produced and reported the short doc When the News Hits Home by Moises Saman about the trauma reporters faced after the Capital Gazette newsroom shooting.
