Lily Garrison is a New York-based producer. With an honors degree in non-fiction writing from Brown University, she brings both creative instincts and physical production expertise to a wide range of projects. She began her career in film production in narrative film on Alex Ross Perry's "Queen of Earth," starring Elizabeth Moss, shot by Sean Price Williams and premiering at the Berlinale. She produced her first documentary feature, "Membra Disjecta & A Life in Stone," on the artist Gonzalo Fonseca, shot in the US, Italy and Uruguay with the support of grants from the New York Fine Arts Fund. The film was broadcast on WNET and is now available for streaming on Amazon and Itunes. Lily shot and directed her first short film, an experimental docudrama entitled "My Sister, The Actress." Since 2018, Lily has been producing a 4-hour documentary series on the history of genetics called, "The Gene: An Intimate History." "The Gene," executive produced by Ken Burns and produced by Ark Media, is set to air this Spring on PBS in the US and on public television in Europe as well.
