Laura Dauden is a Brazilian director, journalist and activist. In addition to her journey in documentary production, she has been working as a communications & advocacy consultant for human rights organizations in Brazil since 2013.

About

Brazilian director, screenwriter, and producer based in Spain. Her recent filmography includes “Unsubmissive” (2023), “Occupation Inc.” (2020), “The Hosts” (2020), and her films – always centered on human rights issues – have been seen at festivals such as the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Malaga Film Festival, the São Paulo International Film Festival, and the San Sebastián International Human Rights Films Festival. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism (UFSC, Brazil), and a Master's Degree in International Relations and African Studies (Autonomous University of Madrid). She co-founded the production company Forward Films in 2012, and is a proud member of Cima (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media in Spain), Dones Visuals, and EWA (European Women’s Audiovisual Network).
