Producer with experience on documentary filmmaking and narrative films with a social impact angle.
I am a filmmaker with experience in business management and project entrepreneurship. My production experience has focused on documentary filmmaking and narrative films with a social impact angle. I have produced work in Cambodia, Thailand, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Colombia, Peru, and several locations in the United States. I have produced work for clients such as FB Heron Foundation, Mellon Foundation, ProMujer, Equal Justice Initiative, Malteser International, UN Women, and The Fortune Society, among others.
My most recent feature production, the documentary Death by a Thousand Cuts premiered at the HotDocs Film Festival in Toronto, won the Audience Award at DocNYC and the Grand Jury Prize at the Seattle International Film Festival and the Environmental Film Festival at Yale.
I have ample knowledge of production and post-production processes and the organization of teams and resources to work on the many stages of a film production project. I have performed roles on projects as a camera, sound mixer, editor and sound designer. As a producer and co-founder of Human Pictures, I have been involved in production and post-production, including roles as an executive producer, production coordinator, field producer, and location coordinator. With my production company Human Pictures, we create socially conscious fiction and non-fiction films, and branded pieces, seeking to move beyond the role of a production company and establishing ourselves as a multimedia movement for social transformation.
