Josh Block

Josh Block is the executive producer for video and audio at Bloomberg Industry Group, where he oversees production of videos and podcasts for Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg Tax, and Bloomberg Government. Block began his career producing television interviews for Charlie Rose on PBS, including interviews with David Bowie, Phil Jackson, David Letterman, Wynton Marsalis and Martin Scorsese. After that, he joined the staff of Late Show with David Letterman, where he prepared David Letterman for his guest interviews. Block has contributed to the Peabody Award-winning programs, Studio 360 (WNYC) and EGG the arts show (PBS). He profiled the improvisational comedy troupe and training center Upright Citizens Brigade for the former, and the satirical news organization The Onion for the latter. He was also part of production teams that launched award-winning television programs for HBO, PBS, and ESPN. In 2009, he joined Bloomberg, and held a variety of roles creating podcasts and videos. In 2014, he was named executive producer, digital at Bloomberg Industry Group, and since 2019 he has overseen both videos and podcasts for Bloomberg Industry Group’s news division. Block received his B.A. in English from DePauw University and earned his law degree, cum laude, from New York Law School.
