Jia Naqvi is the digital producer at Witness, Al Jazeera's flagship documentary strand. Since joining the team in 2020, Jia has designed bespoke promotional strategies for award-winning films from around the world. With over 10 years' experience working with software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere, Jia has produced a vast array of multimedia content for Witnesss Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. She collaborates with engagement teams from across the network to develop innovative approaches to designing digital content. Jia has also diversified the strands existing promotional strategies with an added layer of original journalism researched and produced specifically for each documentary and social media platform. Prior to joining Al Jazeera, Jia graduated with high honours from one of the world's leading journalism schools - Northwestern University's Qatar campus. She won Northwestern's prestigious Journalism Award in recognition for various achievements, including her internship at The Washington Post where she published 25 articles in 10 weeks and was offered the role of freelance foreign correspondent. Now Jia manages Witness's digital platforms and enriches audience's experiences with bespoke content for the strands weekly output of two documentaries.
