Hyacinth is the special projects editor for multimedia at STAT, where she manages video projects, as well as produces short documentaries and animated explainers. She’s also a producer of "The Readout LOUD," a weekly biotech podcast, and "Color Code," a seasonal podcast on race and health equity. A biology graduate, she worked as a lab technician before receiving her master’s degree in health and medical journalism from the University of Georgia.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
