In a previous life I was in a Comparative Literature doctorate, but I dropped out to make shitty video essays on Youtube and that has slowly blossomed into a filmmaking career. Stories have been integral to my entire life, in a number of environments -- I have traveled the world and speak five languages. I currently make my money working in documentary, and I would like to continue working in that genre alongside whatever else will make the big bucks like Reality, Commercials, etc. But I would like to gradually shift to narrative. I am completely self-taught and a Corona baby. I had never edited with another person in the room until a couple months ago and learned that I ADORE collaboration. I am looking to make connections more than anything, as I do fine for myself freelancing (but would like to get out of the rat race and find consistent long-form projects). I am so sick of working alone, and I just moved to NYC after finishing my first feature and finally having the financial security to do so.
