About

Armando Guerra began his filmmaking career in his native Cuba, where he started out as a producer for National Public Radio and for CNN at its Havana bureau. His documentary films have won numerous prizes, including several gold, silver and bronze Telly Awards for his early coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic, synthetic drug making, the wildfires ravaging Brazil's Pantanal, the world's largest wetland; or the fate of Hondurans affected by climate change. Guerra also consults with the United Nations Environment Program and creates content for international organizations such as the International Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund. He lives between Valencia, Spain and Copenhague, Denmark.
