OPPORTUNITIES

Rolling Deadlines:

  • The Black Artists Grant (BAG) is a ÂŁ500 no-strings financial support to help UK-based Black creatives. Whether you’re in need of new equipment or to fund your latest project, learn more and apply here.

Upcoming Deadlines:

  • February 5: Berlin Artist-in-Residency (BERLIN AiR)! Gain international experience, make new industry contacts and inspire . Apply here!

  • February 5: The Nature Connection Pitch is launching with The Redford Center and Mountainfilm are co-presenting a pitch event at the 2024 Telluride Mountainfilm Festival in partnership with IF/Then Shorts. Awarded films will receive substantial funding with a top prize of $25,000. Find out more about it here.

  • February 7: The Doc Society Climate Story Fund is calling for long form, shorts or episodic documentaries that help illuminate visions for a just future. Worldwide applicants are encouraged to apply!

  • February 7: The Sundance Institute and Adobe are teaming up to find the next 10 Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellows. Submit a one- to 15-minute short that shows us your artistic vision and unique voice as a filmmaker. Apply here!

  • February 8: Feature and short documentary makers, the One World Media awards are now accepting submissions for their 2024 shortlist. If you made a work that broke stereotypes, changed the narrative and connected people across cultures in the last year - get your application in here.

  • February 9: ITVS is calling on independent producers to complete production for a standalone broadcast length documentary to air on public television. Apply and get up to $350k worth of funding. Find out more here.

  • February 10: The MacDowell Fellowship awards based artistic excellence and encourages artists from all backgrounds and countries to apply. From architecture to visual arts. Find out more here!

  • February 16: GiF are calling for short filmmakers who identify as d/Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent to submit their work for a screening in collaboration with Inclusivity Films. Submit your work now.

  • February 21: The extended deadline for Features & Tribeca NOW has been extended but you need to act fast! Join the vibrant community of creatives and make your mark on NYC in June – submit now using this link!

  • February 26: NeXt Doc is a year-long fellowship that brings together emerging non-fiction storytellers ages 21-25 from diverse backgrounds with award-winning documentary filmmakers to learn, share, and build their skills. Apply here!

  • February 9: Deadlines for the Sheffield Doc Fest Film Programme entries is fast approaching! Get your completed documentary features or shorts uploaded ASAP and apply here.

  • February 15: Melbourne Film Festival is still accepting submissions for their 2024 edition - the longest film festival running in Australia is calling on you to apply asap!

  • February 23: Calling all creatives in the video, media and television community—The Telly Awards deadline is upcoming! Submit your work for a chance to be an award recipient of the 45th Telly Awards.

  • February 23: Ready to captivate Calgary at the 25th anniversary of the Calgary International Film Festival? Don't miss the opportunity to share your unique story with a diverse and passionate audience, applications through FilmFreeWay.

  • February 29: The Festival of Migrant Film is calling for entries. If you’re a filmmaker, video artist and activist that addresses different topics and issues related to migration, asylum and the life of refugees. Apply here!

  • March 6: Leeds International Film Festival is calling for shorts and feature films entries. View their 2023 highlight reel for inspiration and get applying.

  • March 7: Final call to elevate your masterpiece on the global stage! Submit your film now for a shot at the prestigious Cannes Film Awards.

  • March 15: If you’re a short filmmaker, Denmark’s short film festival is the perfect place to pitch your latest project. Submit your film to the Odense International Film Festival here.

  • May 1: The 33rd annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival is the longest-running nonfiction film festival in North America. Apply and compete for Best Documentary Feature, Critics Prize, Best Documentary Short and Audience Awards. Read more and apply here.

  • May 15: The Rhode Island International Film festival is now accepting applications! Known as one of the best short film festivals in the United States. Get your work in now!
