About

Nicholas Bernstein has worked in the film industry for over thirty-five years, first as a location manager on feature films and now as a producer and writer. He has many projects in development and several close to production including a documentary, "Summer of '68" that will be directed by the award winning Sam Pollard and a soccer show called "Off The Pitch" with Zero Point Zero Productions who produced all of Anthony Bourdain's shows. Several of Mr. Bernstein's projects are based on scripts written by his father, the celebrated blacklisted screenwriter Walter Bernstein. These include movies about: The Brooklyn Dodgers leaving Brooklyn; Richard Nixon's first Senate Campaign in 1950 against Helen Gahagan Douglas; The 1936 Hitler Olympics and a film about the building of The Golden Gate Bridge. Mr. Bernstein is also producing what would have been Sidney Lumet's last movie, "Getting Out" and just finished a screenplay, "Group" a romantic comedy about group therapy and New York real estate. He also has a production company in Brazil called Corisco Filmes where he has almost finished a documentary feature film on Child Preachers.
