Mamta is an Emmy-nominated South Asian Executive Producer, Director & writer whose international work is defined by a thoughtful, bold & immersive approach crafting immersive, globally resonant narratives in premium documentary & narrative filmmaking.

About

Since 2003, Mamta has committed to exploring and communicating complex stories. Her global upbringing across four continents shapes her ability to approach cultures with sensitivity, creating thought-provoking films that authentically depict lived experiences. A visual thinker, she is passionate about bold projects that span genres, forms, and representation, resonating with broad audiences by inspiring and entertaining. Mamta recently co-executive produced *Women in Hip Hop* for Showtime and developed *The Antisocial Network: Memes to Mayhem,* named one of Variety's top 10 documentaries of 2024. She also partnered with a Bloomberg Bureau Chief to create a global investigative series and served as Supervising Producer on a wildlife trafficking series for Susan Zirinsky in 2022. As consulting producer, she contributed to *Maestra,* which premiered at Tribeca 2023, earned an Audience Award, and received an IDA nomination for Best Music Documentary in 2024. Currently, Mamta is directing her first feature in Los Angeles. Her Emmy nomination came in 2021 for ESPN’s *Why We Fight*. She worked with Blumhouse on the critically acclaimed CNN series *The People vs. The Klan* and led boutique film studios Epoch Films, Smuggler, and Slim Pictures as an Executive Producer/Head of Production. Notable narrative film credits include *Broken English,* *The Vicious Kind,* and *Never Forever,* all Sundance premieres. In 2020, Mamta executive produced *Know Your Ballot CA,* providing non-partisan voter information. She mentors emerging talents through the Real Champs Executive Diversity Mentor Program and DemocraSHE. An active member of Brown Girls Doc Mafia, the Asian American Documentary Association, and a board member of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society, Mamta continues to champion diverse voices in filmmaking.
