Joyce Mishaan is a director Executive Producer/Showrunner and indie producer from Brooklyn, NY. After studying theater and creative writing at Carnegie Mellon, she got her start in TV and film as a production assistant on MTV’s "Making the Band." Since then she's gained over a decade of experience creating content for major TV networks, including TLC, Discovery+, National Geographic, Discovery, HBO, IFC, Food Network, Animal Planet, A&E, OWN, Fusion and HGTV. She is one of the Executive Producers on TLC’s "90 Day Fiancé" franchise, recently running "90 Day Fiancé: the Couples Tell All (season 8)" and the "90 Day Fiancé: the Single Life Tell All (season 1)." She spent many years as a Producer for Food Network's hit show "Chopped" and was part of the producing team for the 2014 Emmy-nominated feature doc "Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare." In 2017 she produced three short documentary films covering global climate challenges for former Vice President Al Gore’s "24 Hours of Reality" broadcast. She is also the producer and Co-EP of "Brooklynification," a scripted digital comedy series about gentrification in Brooklyn, created by writer Christopher Poindexter and director Keith Miller, commissioned by BRIC TV and distributed on Amazon Prime. Joyce is currently in post production on her first feature documentary, "Lee Fields: Faithful Man," which she is directing and producing with Jessamyn Ansary. The film is an uplifting underdog story about an extraordinary soul singer named Lee Fields who's finally seeing success after 50 years of struggle.
