About

Jim is an Oakland, California-based editor, director and producer of documentaries, scripted films and branded content. He loves collaborating to tell stories that surprise and inspire audiences. He recently edited the Weathering the Future episode of NOVA for PBS, the judicial equity doc Judging Juries, and nine short documentaries in the Our Beautiful Planet series about climate scientists. He cut the feature docs Waging Change for Ginzberg Productions and Manifest Destiny for Lucasfilm, which both broadcast internationally and on PBS in the U.S.. His editing work has also appeared on CNBC, AJ+, The History Channel, The Smithsonian Channel and at festivals around the world. He produces and directs the Oakland Originals theatrical documentary series and has produced videos for USA Hockey, USA Basketball, San Francisco Public Works, East Bay Regional Park Foundation and many others. He has field-produced for clients such as the NOVA, NEA, Gilead Sciences and the BBC.
