Upcoming Deadlines:
  • February 22: #Residency Only two days left to apply for the PACT Zolleverin Residency Programme for Artists in 2023. 🥨 Winners will receive accommodation, studio space, technical equipment and professional support.

  • February 24: #Grant This one goes out to Asian and Pacific Islander women or gender-expansive people! 〰️ 🌏 The Asian Women Giving Circle is requesting proposals for 2023! Each grant is $8,000, and approximately 8-10 grants will be offered in total.

  • February 28: #Fellowship The Global Investigative Journalism Network is also offering 150 fellowships to journalists in developing and transitioning countries. Fellows will be funded for a trip to Gothenburg, Sweden for the GIJ Conference and receive many more opportunities. Check it out now! 📓

  • February 28: #Award Only a few more days to apply for the Global Shining Light Award! This award is offered by the Global Investigative Journalism network and honors investigative journalists who produced work under threat or duress. ✒️ Winners will receive $2500 and a trip to the GIJ Conference.

  • March 1: #Fellowship U.S. journalists can now apply for the Edward R. Murrow Press Fellowship. The winning fellow will receive 10 months in residence at Council in Foreign Relation’s Headquarters in New York, as well as a stipend of $100 000. 🗽

  • March 9: #Grant Journalists! Listen up! Internews’ Earth Journalism Network and the Internews Americas team are offering media grants to organizations from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, seeking to strengthen the capacity of journalists and media organizations to produce high-quality, factual, and engaging public information on the impacts of conservation crimes. 🌴☼

  • March 15: #Course The UCT Centre for Film & Media Studies in South Africa is offering a Film Impact Screening Facilitator Short Course between June and November 2023. 👨‍🎓 This would be ideal if you want a practical toolkit for organizing, marketing and hosting facilitated impact screenings.

  • March 15: #Grant Mama Cash is currently offering grants to projects lead by or focusing on feminists, women, girls, trans and/or intersex people. Apply for the Resilience Fund Grantmaking Window today. 🪟 🏳️‍⚧️ 🛊

  • March 31: #Grant The Jewish Film Institute has distributed more than $250,000 in grants to 19 projects since 2020. Now they’re offering completion grants to filmmakers who are telling stories about Jewish life. ✡️ Check it out here.

  • March 31: #Grant The Roy W. Dean Spring Grant Applications are open for documentary filmmakers. They fund independent feature films, documentaries, web series, and short films with budgets of $500,000 or less that are unique and make a contribution to society that, without its help, might otherwise never get made. 🌱 Apply here.

  • March 31: #Scholarship The Deutsche Welle Akademie is offering scholarships for Journalists doing their Masters Degree in Germany. 📜

  • March 31: #Showcase Kickstarter's Long Story Short! Kickstarter is inviting emerging and established filmmakers, film students, and other enthusiastic cinephiles to start thinking now about what they want to launch into the world for the Long Story Short showcase, Kickstarter’s annual celebration of short films. Winners will join an amazing cohort of filmmakers. 🦵🏼 🏁

  • April 7: #Programme Rough Cut Lab Africa is looking for 9 projects to offer targeted finishing support to over two weeks. This is a virtual programme running from May to June, and it welcomes documentary filmmakers, producers and editors working on rough cuts. ✂️ Apply now!
