About
Shadi Tabibzadeh is an Iranian filmmaker, producer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Germany. With a rich academic background in journalism, international affairs, and visual anthropology, she offers a unique perspective on her work. Over the past five years, Shadi has focused on exploring the role of music—especially rap and hip-hop—as a form of resistance within the pop cultures of marginalized communities in Iran. Her methods involve using audiovisual storytelling and documentation to capture and convey these narratives. Her practice sits at the intersection of audiovisual art and social justice.
