About

Sarah McClure is a Mexican-American documentary filmmaker and investigative journalist in Los Angeles. As part of the documentary teams at Fusion, Univision, Center for Investigative Reporting, and The Wall Street Journal, her work has taken her to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to cover fraternity sexual violence and Title IX; to Molenbeek, Belgium to film the rise of white nationalists in Europe; and to Mexico City to interview Salvadorean immigrants on route to the U.S. She was part of the teams behind Netflix's DEATH BY FENTANYL, which earned a DuPont Award, and Fusion's Emmy-nominated and Livingston Award finalist PRISON KIDS, about the juvenile justice system. At Univision, she produced specials with Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas, including CIUDAD DE PADROTES, about Tenancingo's underground sex-trafficking ring. Before that, she worked on RAPE ON THE NIGHT SHIFT about the sexual assault of janitorial immigrant women. She loves human-driven, impactful narratives that expose injustices.
