About

After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art, Nick worked for filmmaker Errol Morris as a researcher, starting a nearly twenty year career in documentary production. Throughout Nick has been fortunate to produce visually stylish and narratively compelling films for production companies and distributors like Blackside, WGBH-TV, Discovery, and PBS. Working at the long-running documentary non-profit Art21 since 2006, Nick is currently the organization’s Director of Video Programming & Production, serving as series producer for the Peabody Award-winning PBS series “Art in the Twenty-First Century” and the Webby-nominated digital shorts series “New York Close Up,” which he also co-created. As a director, series producer, and consulting producer for Art21, Nick has collaborated directly with hundreds of artists and free lance filmmakers and has been involved in the production of 350 (and counting) digital shorts which have been screened over 75 times at over 30 film festivals across the world—including DOC NYC, BlackStar, and Newfest—and have been recognized with Vimeo Staff Picks and Video Consortium New York screenings.
