Lawrence Rickford is a Black director of photography residing in the foggy hills of San Francisco. He has an affinity for bold and innovative documentary-style filmmaking. Lawrence is interested in finding the heart in every film and showcasing it in a thoughtful and compelling manner. When stories can intersect with issues around social justice, even better. Lawrence has filmed projects on locations across the globe. Having worked full time in film industry since 2017, he has experience working with clients such as Patagonia, Vox and UCSF on branded content, commercial projects, and independent short-documentaries of various scales. His first feature documentary is in production.
