Laurie Polisky

Laurie is an award-winning filmmaker, podcaster, editor, and composer with a background in neuroscience. Laurie produced and scored Dear Alana (2023), which hit #1 on Apple podcasts its first week of release, and her score was nominated for the 2023 Signal Awards. She's currently developing the upcoming feature documentary Under the Dream, about our society's relationship to dreaming and the emerging field of dream technology. She pitched the film at CPH:FORUM in February 2024. She co-directed and produced the documentary Pain Brain (2023), about a neuroscience study on chronic pain of which Laurie is a co-author. The podcast Tell Me About Your Pain, which Laurie produced, ranked in the top one percent of most listened-to podcasts about mental health. Film editing and post production coordinator credits include The Social Dilemma (2020) and an upcoming HBO Docuseries (anticipated 2025), and hulu series (anticipated 2025). She was an associate and archival producer on the documentary Classic, and co-edited the film's trailer (2019). She directed and shot music videos for Ghostly International and Dan Auerbachs Easy Eye Sound.
