I’m a documentary maker and producer. I’m passionate about making stories personal, deepening the story by sharp interviewing, and making the subject comfortable. My latest work examined how privilege influences friendship.

About

Irith is an independent filmmaker based in NYC and Amsterdam. She is passionate about making big stories personal and getting the audience to broaden their perspectives. Rather than pushing for black or white, Irith is interested in exploring grey spaces. She has made commissioned films for the Academic Medical Center (Amsterdam, NL) and UnitedWay (Global NGO), and worked on tv series and documentaries for Dutch national television as Junior Producer at Bureau NY. In terms of hard skills, Irith has operated on Sony Fx3, Fx30, Fx6, and Fs7, and has been on set as Director, Producer, Sound, and AC.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
