I'm a photographer and documentary filmmaker with 6 years of experience making shows for broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix. Currently working freelance.
Matilda studied Biological Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, specialising in Experimental Psychology, and then Science Media Production (MSc) at Imperial College London. After graduating she worked on a range of television documentaries for both UK and US broadcasters (BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery, Netflix). During this time she also produced and presented 'Science Mixtape', on Soho Radio (2016-2019), and undertook filmmaking projects for several non-profits (LRTT; Mercy Corps). In 2021, she received a Director’s Fellowship to study Visual Journalism at the International Centre of Photography in New York, where she started her long term project, 'Glass Eggs', about the growing number of women who are freezing their eggs. She had her first solo exhibition of this work at the United Nations in February 2023, and ten images from her project have been featured in National Geographic.
