Gabriella Murillo is an NYC-based documentary Director and Producer. Her films focus on the Asian American experience and intergenerational trauma. Her past work in documentary film/tv includes ID true crime series, The Black Widower, PBS series Iconic America (2023), and Firelight Films Harriet Tubman: Visions of Freedom (2021) and Becoming Frederick Douglass (2021). Additionally, Gabriella has worked as a coordinator for commercial/branded content and as a producer for various independent narrative shorts. Short film, LUNCHBOX (2022) has received a wide range of awards and been accepted to festivals across the country. DALE III (2024) just had its spring premiere at Queens World Festival and Were Late (2024) has been accepted to Berlin Indie Film Festival and Coney Island Film Festival. She currently has several short films in development.
