About

Born and raised in Northern Wisconsin, Erinn Springer is a documentarian based New York. She received a BFA in Communication Design at Parsons, The New School for Design where she discovered her interest in storytelling. Her work explores ephemeral moments and enduring relationships between people and place. She has most recently been investigating the character of rural living through exploring her Wisconsin roots. Woven around her photographic practice, Erinn is currently working on a documentary film highlighting the personality of place as told by her three uncles, farmers living within 10 miles of their original family farm. In 2018, Erinn began shadowing female scientists conducting field studies in remote landscapes. The first series, Particle for Scale (2018) was completed with NASA’s Atmospheric Tomography Mission. The second chapter, Fly Away, Alaska (2019), was in collaboration with a USFWS Biologist-Pilot conducting aerial waterfowl surveys over The Aleutian Islands. Her work has been featured by international galleries and publications including, The International Center of Photography, The New York Times, and Vogue.
