About

My journey in filmmaking has been influenced by a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to serving marginalized communities worldwide. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations from Tijuana, the US, Ireland and Greece, always driven by the intent to make a positive impact. During my volunteer work with refugees in Athens, Greece, I encountered the issue of sex trafficking, which differed significantly from Hollywood's typical portrayal. Hollywood often emphasizes dark and graphic depictions, which, while shedding light on the problem, can leave regular citizens like you and me feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. In Greece, I saw a different side of the issue, one marked by hope, redemption, and hard work among survivors and dedicated supporters. Real-life situations can be vastly different from sensationalized Hollywood portrayals. Recognizing this, I decided to use my background in Cinema and Media Arts to shift the narrative. In this film, I aim to acknowledge the hardships of survivors while highlighting their resilience and the motivations of volunteers. This journey led me to create the My current project, "Three Hearts." Which is an audio visual series that shares untold stories, provokes change, and allows empathy to guide us in addressing the deeply entrenched issue of sex trafficking.
