About

Cyrus Duff is a cinematographer and director. He shot his first feature (All I’ve Been Wanting, dir. Jimmy Bontatibus) in fall 2020. Recent work as cinematographer includes music videos for Amiture, Mark Schwaber and Sophie Hunter, video for brands like Barragán, Edas and Café Forgot, a narrative short directed by Cleopatra Coleman and documentaries directed by Joseph Eusebio and Edward Columbia. He directed a short documentary, Without Wax, on renowned ceramicist Roberto Lugo, that premiered at the 2020 RIIFF, and is currently both shooting and directing a documentary about Deux Dames Entertainment, a small, female-led production company whose first film is a father-daughter coming-of-age story starring Clara and Ewan McGregor. As a cinematographer, Cyrus is drawn to stories about people and relationships. He likes images that are layered and full of meaning, and he’s always looking to create unity among the elements of a project. With Edward Columbia, he runs Sulde Productions, a small production company that makes short documentaries, narrative films, commercials and music videos, and owns equipment, including a Red Dragon-X package.
