About

Cameron is an Asian American adoptee who strives to understand personal identities and the intersections that come from existing and being in different environments. He grew up in the suburbs of Detroit surrounded by other adoptees who unknowingly aided his personal journey of developing his sense of identity. For his senior thesis, he decided to investigate this further by developing a short film inspired by his feelings and reflections before and after meeting his birth mother. Since then, he has worked on a documentary in Colombia and is excited for where the next documentary will take him.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
