'I LIKE IT HERE', opening in NYC at DCTV's Firehouse Cinema 8/23
Hi VCS Community — I LIKE IT HERE opens on Friday 8/23 at DCTV's Firehouse Cinema, with limited theatrical engagements expected to follow in other cities. I'm excited to share this with you, as I worked on this title as an Impact Producer. We're hosting Q&As opening weekend with special guest moderators like essayist Philip Lopate, film critic Kent Jones, author Gabrielle Glaser, documentary filmmaker Alan Berliner, and True/False Artistic Director Chloé Trayner.
I LIKE IT HERE explores aging in the US, using an intimate memoir format as director Ralph Arlyck, his wife, his friends, and his upstate NY community enter their senior years. Ralph opens up his many subjects to reveal their hopes, fears, and reflections about getting older, and we're excited to see how the film will inspire older audiences to engage in a productive discussion after watching.
