Matthew is an Emmy award winning documentary filmmaker based in Washington, D.C. His anthropological education brings a rare perspective to the craft of filmmaking, blending the best documentary and cinematic techniques. He has shot for clients such as National Geographic, Patagonia, CNN and Discovery. He’s worked across the world with non-profits like the Red Cross, the Galapagos Conservancy and Friends of Plumas Wilderness. Beyond his freelance career, Matthew has worked at the Advanced Laboratory for Visual Anthropology teaching university students and faculty how to incorporate advanced camera technologies and filmmaking techniques into their scientific research.
