About

Joshua is an aspiring documentarian and film editor, music creator, activist and volunteer based in New York City. He is currently finishing a master’s degree in Media Studies at The New School, where his studies have focused on the creation and production of visual medium, as well as the exploration of the media’s role as both a tool for educating and informing the public and as a weapon in the spread of disinformation and propaganda. Upon graduating, Joshua’s two major projects will be the completion of his current documentary project about the Mitchell-Lama housing program in New York and the development of a media production & consulting group. Along with content creation and film production, services including media relations and consulting will be offered to nonprofits and advocacy groups with the goal of overcoming media bias and blackouts, while countering the dissemination of falsehoods and inaccuracies related to their respective causes and missions.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
