Jake Godin is a reporter for Scripps News, where he's worked since 2014. He's covered myriad beats, from politics to business to tech to international news. In 2019, Jake built a bridge between Scripps News and renowned online investigative outlet, Bellingcat — forming a partnership video series where he worked with Bellingcat investigators on stories using a variety of open source methods. The series won the 2019 Scripps Howard Innovation Award and was nominated for a News Emmy. It has covered a multitude of stories, from extrajudicial killings by soldiers in Ethiopia's Tigray region to police abuse against protesters in Colombia and the United States.
