I am a researcher and writer based in Minneapolis, MN. As an archival researcher for documentaries, I investigate the history and theories of 20th-century social movements, and pay particular attention to the artists and intellectuals of those movements.
About
Alejandro Eduarte's work is centered around the intersection of archival research and filmmaking. His past documentary projects include "The Disappearance of Shere Hite" (a 2023 feature, directed by Nicole Newnham), and "37 Words" (a 2022 ESPN series, co-directed by Newnham and Dawn Porter). In his archival work, he investigates key topics of 20th-century feminism: debates over sexuality, institutional discrimination, and the relationship between community organizing and political theory.
