Sophie Power is an emerging documentary filmmaker in NYC focused on arts and culture. She is accredited with a MFA in documentary film and was a Netflix Documentary Talent Fund semi-finalist in 2023. In the past she was a video producer for brands such as Converse and Carhartt WIP. Sophie has a vested interest in non-fiction work, collaborating on the production of documentaries for National Geographic as well as a feature on Stephen Hawking for Sky Documentaries. At present she has in production various independent short-form documentaries including portraits on artists Randy Polumbo, Eddie Plein (the creator of the gold front grill), as well as a piece on Black ballerina dancers in NYC titled 'Tendu'. She is available for hire as videographer, researcher and director.
