VC Little Rock

Our main goal is to build a strong, collaborative nonfiction filmmaking community in Arkansas by creating consistent opportunities for connection, education, and creative support. Through screenings, workshops, networking events, and panel discussions, we want to help filmmakers feel less isolated while creating pathways for mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth without needing to leave the state. We also hope to elevate Southern and Arkansas-based stories by creating spaces where local voices and lived experiences are valued and shared.

We plan to use the local flavor of Little Rock by grounding the community in the city’s unique culture, hospitality, and storytelling traditions. Rather than replicating larger film markets, we want to create a welcoming, community-centered environment that reflects Arkansas itself — highlighting local stories, partnering with regional organizations and universities, and hosting events in spaces that feel authentic to the city and its creative identity.
