About
Meghna Chakraborty is an LA-based director, producer and dancer/choreographer whose work is rooted in innovative, impact-driven storytelling and cultural empowerment. Her projects span music videos, documentaries, and narrative film. She recently co-directed and co-produced a short documentary with Goldenvoice titled ASCENDING South Asian Artists at Coachella 2024. Prior to freelance filmmaking, Meghna worked in film development at Participant, focused on the intersection of social impact and entertainment. She also has a background in multicultural marketing and publicity for TV and Film, and currently is on the Media & Entertainment team at Gold House, a non-profit organization dedicated towards advancing equity and visibility across the AAPI diaspora. Through her work, Meghna seeks to break down barriers in the entertainment industry in order to create a safe, inclusive space for those with multicultural identities, and a world in which younger generations can do and be whatever they dream of. She is interested in telling the untold stories of women, immigrants, and the children of immigrants.
Meghna received her MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts Peter Stark Producing Program, and her B.S. in Business Administration at USCs Marshall School of Business.
