About

Sam is an Emmy-nominated creative director and producer, with a background in health, science and culture journalism. She's currently working at Mongabay, and is based between NYC and Singapore. Prior to Mongabay, her work with media brands such as Vox, New York Magazine, and HiddenLight Productions has appeared on premium streaming services including HBO, AppleTV+, Freeform, and Quibi. Level Playing Field, a series she produced under Vox Media Studios for HBO Max, was nominated as an Outstanding Documentary Series at the 43rd Annual Sports Emmy Awards 2023. Other work has been recognized by the Critics Choice Real TV Awards, Webby Awards and CineKink.
