Ryan De Franco is a New York-based filmmaker and cinematographer most at home amid stories of community and uncertainty. He is committed to thoughtful collaboration with fellow storytellers from all disciplines and backgrounds.
Ryan's narrative and documentary cinematography has screened at Tribeca, Sundance, DOC NYC, and MoMA PS1. In 2017, his work with Courageous Studios celebrating rural diversity won the AdAge “Grand Arc” Award for modern commercial storytelling. He is especially drawn to projects that blur the line between fiction and non-fiction.
Recent work includes the narrative feature "This is Not a War Story" (Audience Award Winner, San Francisco Independent Film Festival), and the documentary feature "Vas-y Coupe!" (Wine Crush), directed by Laura Naylor and released on Amazon and AppleTV by First Run Features.
